My name is Sheila Fubara and I am one of the chairs for the Ubuntu Youth Council. I was born in Nigeria and have been living in Alberta since I was 6. I am attending University of Lethbridge in the fall going into my first year of a Bachelors of Human Resources Management and Labour Relationships. I’m so grateful for this opportunity I have been given. I hope to help create a voice for those who feel they have lost it and to be an advocate for change where it is lacking. Moving forward I hope to help this council flourish and grow into its potential.
Youth are the future and we must continue to demand change where it is needed. This youth council has done so much in so little time and I’m excited to see what more we can do in our community.
